While looking for things to do in Sydney, we found an interesting activity that involves kayaking under the Harbour Bridge. After booking with Sydney By Kayak, we received a waiver form in our emails. We answered a few simple questions and chose the drink of our choice. I like how they included oat milk and almond milk as alternative milk options.
Sunrise Kayak

The tour has been amazing so far, but I must admit that waking up early in the morning has been quite challenging. We arrived at the destination around 5:15 a.m. We saw the van parked near the entrance of the park. The guides were already there, preparing the life vests that we would need for the tour. Despite the early hour, we were all excited to start the day. Before the sunrise, we decided to check out the Harbour Bridge. The view was breathtaking, and the atmosphere was calm and peaceful. It was a moment of pure serenity that we will never forget.

The guides greeted us warmly and started handing out life vests, drinks, and towels. The towels are for wiping our hands before we use our phones and cameras so the equipment won’t get wet. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and we appreciated it. We were a group of 26 participants, and the guides split us into two groups.
The guide assigned to our group led us to the beach and gave us a brief introduction to the equipment we would be using. They showed us how to adjust the foot pedal so that we could row more comfortably and efficiently. They also demonstrated the proper way to paddle, emphasizing the importance of using our core muscles and keeping our arms straight. Overall, the guides were very knowledgeable and patient, and they made sure that everyone felt comfortable and confident before we set off on our adventure.
The Harbour Bridge looked massive from a distance. We paddled towards it, admiring the stunning views of the city skyline. On our way back, the wind picked up, and the waves got stronger, making our return journey a bit more challenging. But we didn’t give up and paddled harder, feeling the thrill of the adventure. We spent two hours exploring the harbor, taking in the sights and sounds of this beautiful city from a unique perspective.

During the kayaking tour, the guides provided insightful information about the famous Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. They also answered questions from other kayakers. The guides assisted in capturing stunning photographs, which they shared with the group after the tour.
The tour was an excellent opportunity to witness the breathtaking sunrise and explore the city before it became busy. The experience was so engaging that time seemed to pass quickly, and the hours felt like minutes.

Things to Bring
During the kayak tour, it’s important to keep your valuables safe and secure. You can use the pocket located in front of the life vest to store your phone, sunglasses, and cap. There is a cup holder in the front and at the back of the kayak for hot drinks and your bottled water. Additionally, it’s recommended to bring a jacket in case the weather gets chilly in the morning.
My clothes and pants got wet from the splashes, probably because of the way I paddle. So if you plan to continue your day after the tour, you may want to bring extra clothes and pants as your clothes may get wet from the splashes while paddling. However, your shoes will remain dry as the guides will assist you in getting in and out of the kayak. You can store your items inside the van during the tour.
