Workshops

Apart from the Cup Noodles Factory, there are two more factories – the Granola Factory and the Demae Iccho Factory. The Granola Factory offers a wide variety of delicious and healthy granola options that are perfect for breakfast or as a snack. On the other hand, the Demae Iccho Factory is where you can be personally involved in the production process of the famous Demae Iccho instant noodles. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about the history and culture of this beloved Japanese food. When the museum was active, visitors had to make a reservation online to secure a spot in these popular workshops.

In this post, I will talk about my experience with the Cup Noodles Factory.

Briefing

Before we started, the staff briefly explained the procedures to us while we were waiting outside the room. Once we entered the room, we were given a plain cup and a plastic cover. The staff then guided us to the area where we could design our cups.

Design your cup noodles

Unleash your inner artist and showcase your creativity by designing your very own cup using the wide range of materials provided. You’ll have the opportunity to select your preferred soup base and toppings from a form that will be provided to you. Get ready to let your imagination run wild and create a cup that is uniquely yours! I enjoyed this part of the workshop the most.

Reverse Assembly

We had an amazing experience creating our very own cup noodles! After we designed our cup and handed it over to the staff, they filled it with our choice of soup flavor and toppings. This process is called Reverse Assembly. You can watch how the whole process is being made through the glass window. The staff asked us to rotate the machine and just like that, our personalized cup noodles were sealed and ready to be devoured! It was such a unique experience.

Packaging

To ensure that the cup noodles are securely packaged, the last step involves pumping air into the package. It’s worth noting that the noodles have a shelf life of one month from the date they were created, so it’s important to consume them before the expiry date.

They will give you an inflatable plastic as a final stage packing step.
